Recorded in June 2009, this is my most recent mix to be posted on Deceast after concentrating on getting the majority of my older mixes added to the site. This live session is also my first non-D&B mix to be released since I was circulating hip-hop mixtapes amongst my friends back in the first part of the decade. This mix features the kind of dubstep that appeals to most: deep, melodic, and full of that timeless vibe. I’ve been focusing most of my musical attention on dubstep lately and I really hope people continue to push this sound as the larger genre develops and matures.

This mix was recorded live on 90.7FM KPFK Los Angeles during Radio Bomb, a bi-weekly show broadcast on Friday nights / Saturday mornings that features the best in Drum & Bass, Dubstep, and other underground bass-heavy music. It is hosted my by good friend and fellow Bassrush resident Subflo alongside Miyuki and Regal D. KPFK is one of the most storied non-commercial radio stations on the West coast: With a 110,000 watt signal from its main transmitter on top of Mt. Wilson, it is one of the highest-powered FM stations in the country. KPFK is part of Pacifica Radio as well, the oldest non-commercial radio network in the United States that produces popular shows such as Democracy Now! and Free Speech Radio.
