The immensely talented Lusine (real name Jeff McIlwain) is back with his latest full-length album for Ghostly International titled “A Certain Distance“. Eschewing his well-known glitch/IDM aesthetic for more pop leanings, the album is full of lush sounds and delicate rhythms along with just the right amount of vocal treatments. A Certain Distance is great music but I have to say that my favorite album from Lusine is still 2004′s “Serial Hodgepodge“, also released on Ghostly International. “Auto Pilot” has stood the test of time and is still one of my favorite compositions from the last several years.
