Here’s a brand new mix I recorded over the past weekend to help promote the upcoming Muse event I’m playing on Saturday April 23rd alongside Pinch and Kuru! Here’s more from the Muse crew:

In support of the upcoming Muse + Smog Present Pinch show and in celebration of his first appearance on the Muse stage, the talented Deco has presented our readers a mix containing Drum & Bass that he calls home.

In conjunction with being a DJ and graphic designer, Deco runs Deceast!, a blog featuring his own work as well as some inspiring subject matter from others. Be sure to have a look and give him a quick hello before joining us on April 23rd at Temporary Spaces 2 where Deco will be playing 10-11:30pm, opening what should be an incredible night at Muse + Smog in Los Angeles.

This mix summarizes the style of Drum & Bass I gravitate towards as both a listener and a DJ. There’s plenty of new material spanning the soulful side of the D&B spectrum plus a few liquid funk classics for the discerning listeners. This mix attempts to capture the vibe of the first Muse events I attended on the patio at Boardner’s in Hollywood when I first moved to LA. For those that were lucky enough to be at some of those shows, I hope listening to this brings you back to one of my favorite eras in Los Angeles Drum & Bass. Enjoy!
